Serban’s spectacular staging draws on Chinese and Italian theatrical tradition to evoke a richly imagined mythical Peking, breathing colourful life into Puccini’s opera of love and revenge. Celebrated soprano Sondra Radvanovsky sings the icy Princess Turandot, with South Korean tenor SeokJong Baek singing Calaf.
